Welcome!

I’m Sarah, the redheaded dreamer behind Work Life Glue! I homeschool our three daughters, have a husband with a crazy work schedule, and have a HUGE passion for creating a community and resources for working homeschool moms (or those who want to homeschool but need to earn a living).

I am an English teacher turned nanny turned daycare provider, and now run a before and after school program and run my business at 4am before my kids get up and during naptimes. I’ve been working with my kids with me since our first daughter was born!

I know first-hand how busy and chaotic motherhood can be, but I also have become slightly addicted to personal development, time management, creating systems, and sharing what works for me and many other moms along the way.

Homeschooling is not just a passion for us, but a lifestyle. I know SO many moms who desire to spend more time with their kids and be the ones educating them, but they feel so torn because money is tight and they need an income. I’m here to share that it is TOTALLY possible to work and homeschool, but just like any tough situation in motherhood, you have to get creative and think outside the box! I’m here to help you do that!

Working homeschool moms don’t need work life “balance” (because is true balance really even possible?).

We need Work Life Glue!

Routines, habits, advice from others, faith, and reflection help us fit all the pieces of work and homeschool together into one beautiful picture!

I share tons of tips, advice, and funny relatable content on Instagram!

I love to create products and resources for homeschool moms that make their lives easier, so they can spend more time with their babies and less time banging their heads against a wall!

Fun Facts About Me

Farm Girl

I grew up on a hobby farm and may have been known to sing to the cows. Over the years we had chickens, ducks, goats, cows (Scottish Highland redhead cows), dogs, many generations of cats, rabbits, and a burro. My favorite pastime was playing in hay forts my dad would build me in the barn’s hay loft and finding the newborn kittens.

True Redhead

I come across as what people have described as “sweet” and “gentle,” but I’m definitely still a sassy, feisty redhead once you get to know me! My nickname among some friends is “Sass.” You know if I’m comfortable if I throw a few good one-liners out there to playfully poke fun at someone.

High School Sweethearts

My husband, San, and I have been together since New Year’s Eve 2005. We started dating our junior year of high school and have been together ever since! We got married in 2011 at a beautiful outdoor wedding, and three daughters later, we are still poking fun at one another and annoying each other daily!

Gilmore Girls #1 Fan

Gilmore Girls is the best show ever. Period. No debate needed. You will lose! I have seen every episode probably 25 times, especially seasons 4 and 5 (Luke + Lorelai = best part of the show). I own a few Gilmore Girls shirts and even considered naming one of our daughters Lorelai. But, I will forever pretend the the Netflix remake doesn’t exist. I will forever watch anything Lauren Graham is in!

Dairy Baby

I was the first baby born in the month of June (June 3) at a small town hospital, so they took my mom’s photo with me in the newspaper, gave her a bunch of cheese and milk products, and crowned me the Dairy Baby, since June is Dairy Month. That probably explains my love for all things dairy!

Type A Organizer

I have always loved organizing and decorating from a very young age, and have apparently passed that love on to our oldest daughter who loves to re-organize my organization! I used to play house in real houses, as my dad is a carpenter and would let me play in some of the finished homes, and I have been reading decorating books since I was very young.

Anne with an E

I dream of visiting Prince Edward Island one day, as I am a huge Anne of Green Gables fan! As a redhead, I clung to fellow redheaded heroines in books and movies, and seeing Anne break the chalkboard over Gilbert’s head when he called her “Carrots” was always very therapeutic!

Book Nerd

As a former English teacher, I absolutely love fiction, but I have become quite addicted to personal development books the last five years and am always diving into a new one! The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson is my favorite personal development book that literally changed my life!

Unexpected Girl Mom

After being told we would likely never conceive children on our own due to male-factor infertility, we knew we would be lucky to have even one child, much less three! Fast forward 5.5 years and now we are parents to three amazing little girls, all of whom we had on our own without any interventions! They are our miracles!

What People Are Saying

“Your content has made me more of an ‘aware’ person. I never knew how much getting up 30 min earlier in the morning and journaling could change the course of my day for the better. How much using a planner can really make a difference between being stressed for the week ahead because I don’t know what’s going on, and being at ease because I can see what’s happening. I think your channel has changed me as a person in such a good and positive way! Even though i’m only a freshman in college I think of how I can apply the lessons in your videos to my life. And honesty, I still can find a way even though I’m not a mom etc. I honestly don’t know what I would do with your channel. I love your message and honesty in every bit of content you put out!!”

— Tara Piantaggini

“Sarah, your relate-ability is what I appreciate most about your content. You have a heart of gold and I have loved following you on your journey for the past 4-5 years. You should the good stuff, the bad stuff and all the in between! It is very motivating to me how you just keep pushing through, creating, innovating, and then of course sharing all of that with all of us. I know it must feel overwhelming at times, I couldn’t imagine trying to raise my littles and share content at the same time. But thank you for being you! You are such an inspiration.”

— Chelsey S.

“Sarah at Work Life Glue is so motivating and inspiring to all women! I am not even a mom and I learned something from her almost daily! She is so transparent and real. I definitely relate to her!!”

— Marcie Fort

“I look to WLG not only for daycare tips and tricks but over the years Sarah’s productivity and goal setting motivation/encouragement have changed both my business and my personal life. I read the ‘Slight Edge’ on her recommendation and never looked back. Sarah’s passion shines through and I am always so motivated after watching a video.”
