Question of the Day Cards | Daycare, Pre-K, Preschool, Kinder

Creating authentic relationships with our Pre-K, Preschool, and Kindergarten students is CRUCIAL for their learning success! One of my favorite things to do as a daycare provider who teaches preschool to my little ones, is ask a question of the day during circle time. Unlike other question of the day cards, these questions are almost all open-ended and lend themselves well to children opening up. These questions truly allow children to share a piece of themselves, feel heard, open up, and develop communication and social skills. It's a great ice breaker activity to start your day or your daily preschool time. Kids will LOVE answering these questions and feeling heard! They will also practice counting, colors, recognizing objects, and so much more through these daily question cards.

Other question of the day cards may work great for a quick "yes or no" answer or two-choice answer, but these cards were developed to deepend relationships, help children communicate their thoughts, teach children to listen to other ideas, and give children a chance to feel heard in a group setting. They will LOVE your question of the day time with these cards leading the way!

Sample questions from each category:

1 - Favorites: What is your favorite bedtime story?

2 - Family: What is your favorite thing to do with your grandparent?

3 - Emotions: How do you feel when you see a dog?

4 - Food: What is your favorite snack?

5 - Colors: What color are your pants?

6 - Numbers: How many pockets are on your clothes today?

7 - Random: Have you ever slept in a tent?

There are 2 questions per page, but you can print 2 slides per page in your printer settings to print four per page for narrower cards (directions included).
